Pumangol joins the SOS Benguela initiative in support of families affected by flooding

Pumangol's fuel stations across Luanda become donation collection points for the communities of Benguela hit by heavy rainfall.

As severe flooding continues to devastate the province of Benguela causing significant material damage and affecting countless families Pumangol has joined the solidarity initiative SOS Benguela. The company is activating its network of 15 fuel stations across Luanda as collection points for clothing, non-perishable food and other essential goods, responding with closeness and concrete action to a moment of national urgency.

The SOS Benguela initiative was born from a civic mobilisation movement led by influencers and public figures Aldas Mix and Álvaro Paulo, who issued a public call for national solidarity in the face of the unfolding crisis. The movement has been gaining rapid momentum, bringing together public figures and citizens united around a common purpose: to gather and channel essential goods to the communities most affected by the floods.

Recognising the urgency of the situation and the significance of this civic response, Pumangol has joined the initiative as a collaborative partner, placing its operational capacity and national presence at the service of a structured, community-driven effort.

Donation collection will be carried out across 15 fuel stations in Luanda: Elavoko, Rocha Pinto, São Paulo, Zona Verde, Artesanato, Novo Aeroporto, Ramiros, Zango, Eucalyptus, Mabor 14, Kifangondo, Pôr do Sol, Cambamba, Porto Pesqueiro and Baía de Luanda.

By turning each station into an active point of solidarity, Pumangol is leveraging the reach of its network to bring help closer to those who wish to contribute and to speed up support for those who need it most. The company calls on all Angolans to take part in this wave of solidarity by dropping off clothing, non-perishable food and other essential goods at any of the participating stations.
