Pumangol Celebrates 18 Years with a Race that Brought Together Over 3,500 Participants in Luanda

Under the motto "A Race of Good Energy", the event took place in Talatona and stood out as a moment of unity among employees, athletes, partners and the community.

Pumangol marked its 18th anniversary with a commemorative race held on 29 March in Talatona, Luanda. The event brought together more than 3,500 participants and went far beyond a simple sporting competition, becoming a collective celebration centred around health, well-being and closeness to the Angolan community.

Starting at the Espaço Taliana Events Hall, the Pumangol 18th Anniversary Race featured two categories:

  • 10-kilometre run
  • 5-kilometre walk

The format welcomed participants of all profiles, from seasoned athletes to families and sports enthusiasts, in an atmosphere filled with joy and mutual encouragement.

The race included prizes for the 1st to 20th place finishers in both the male and female categories. First-place winners received 750,000 Kz, a Garmin Vivoactive 6 watch, a Garmin HRM-Pro Plus band and a Pumangol gift card worth 250,000 Kz. Second-place finishers received 500,000 Kz, third place 250,000 Kz, fourth place 150,000 Kz and fifth place 100,000 Kz, each also receiving a 20,000 Kz gift card. From 6th to 20th place, all finishers in both categories received a gift card of the same value.

For Pumangol Group CEO Ivanilson Machado, the event represents much more than a milestone date:

"This race symbolises far more than Pumangol's 18th anniversary. It is the expression of our collective energy, the closeness we nurture with the community and our ongoing commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles."

The strong public turnout reinforced Pumangol's positioning as a brand deeply committed to Angola, celebrating the present with emotion and looking to the future with the same energy that defined this memorable day.
