Pumangol Integrates 10 Young Talents

The company reinforces its commitment to Angolan youth by promoting employability, inclusion, and human capital development.

Pumangol marked the conclusion of its Professional Internship Program launched in 2024, an initiative that enabled ten young talents to develop practical skills and experience firsthand the dynamics of the energy sector. After a year of continuous training and mentorship, the participants are now joining the company as full-time employees.

The program stems from a protocol signed between Pumangol and the vocational training center TheBridgeGlobal in March 2023, with the aim of facilitating the transition of recent graduates into the job market by providing a structured, supervised, and results-oriented development experience.

The closing ceremony was attended by members of Pumangol’s Executive Committee, Caetano Pinto (CFO), Nuno Santos (COO), and Susana Almeida, Director of Culture and People, as well as the representative of the CRIAR Program, Sílvia Fraga, Director of Strategy and Social Impact. Mentors and mentees also participated, in a celebration that highlighted the institutional importance of the project.

Pumangol is, to date, the first AECIPA member company to formally join this initiative, further consolidating its commitment to youth development and to the sustainable growth of the oil sector and Angola’s economy. By hiring the ten interns as permanent employees, the company emphasizes the importance of training programs that combine technical knowledge with corporate culture, professional ethics, and the enhancement of human capital.

The partnership with TheBridgeGlobal has proven essential in selecting and preparing high-potential candidates, enabling an effective response to market demands and reinforcing Pumangol’s commitment to nurturing national talent.

This program stands as a practical example of Pumangol’s commitment to Angolan youth — promoting inclusion, merit, and employability — while contributing to the development of a qualified, resilient workforce aligned with the current challenges of the sector.
