Pumangol Hosts Health Fair in Luanda

Over 900 people benefited from free medical consultations and screenings at the Porto Pesqueiro neighborhood.

On August 30, Pumangol organized a Health Fair in Bairro dos Ossos, in the Porto Pesqueiro area of Luanda, running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The initiative directly benefited around 900 people, including children, young people, and the elderly.

The Health Fair offered free consultations and screenings in several medical specialties, including general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, dentistry, cardiology, nutrition, and clinical psychology. Screenings for hypertension and diabetes were also provided, along with rapid tests for HIV, malaria, hepatitis, and other diseases. The most sought-after services were general medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and dentistry.

The event was organized in partnership with Floridente, Clube dos Médicos, Grupo Cosal, Cantinho da Ayula, Centro Óptico, Refriango, Grupo Carrinho, and Angonabeiro, with the institutional support of the Hoji Ya Henda Urban District Administration.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — the initiative reinforces Pumangol’s commitment to social responsibility and to promoting the well-being of communities, contributing to a positive impact on local public health.
