Kubico Postal: Receiving packages just got easier
Pilot project installs equipment at twelve fuel stations across the network, in partnership with Correios de Angola.
Pumangol and Correios de Angola signed, on 13 June 2026, in Luanda, a Memorandum of Understanding to launch the Cubico Postal project. The initiative provides for the installation of parcel lockers at fuel stations across the Pumangol network, enabling parcel delivery and collection. The project addresses challenges in home delivery, namely the unavailability of recipients during delivery hours.
The project begins with a pilot phase, installing parcel lockers at 12 Pumangol fuel stations. The locations were selected for their strategic positioning, ensuring greater accessibility for users.
The signing ceremony brought together the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Correios de Angola, Ederson Cruz Machado, and Nuno Santos, Executive Committee Member and COO of Grupo Pumangol.
The initiative is supported by CTT, the Portuguese postal operator with experience implementing similar solutions in different markets.
Nuno Santos highlighted the role of the station network as proximity infrastructure:
This signing represents another step in strengthening the value of our station network as proximity infrastructure. Cubico Postal responds to consumers' evolving needs, offering greater convenience and flexibility in receiving parcels.
Following the signing, the next step is installing the lockers at the 12 selected stations. Results from the pilot phase will inform a potential nationwide expansion.
