Pumangol clarifies incident at the Gamek Service Station

Pumangol has concluded the initial fact-finding phase with the competent authorities and clarifies that the incident recorded in the early hours of 22 November at the Gamek Service Station was an external criminal act, entirely unrelated to the company’s operations.

Having completed the initial fact-finding and validation of the events with the competent authorities, Pumangol hereby provides a public clarification regarding the tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of 22 November, at around 3:00 a.m., at the Gamek Service Station, involving third parties and which, regrettably, resulted in the loss of a human life.

The incident is entirely unrelated to Pumangol’s activity, having no connection with the operation of the station or with its employees. According to the information gathered so far, in coordination with the competent authorities, it was a criminal act committed by external individuals, involving the use of a firearm.

As soon as the situation was identified, the competent authorities were immediately contacted, and Pumangol has since been providing full and ongoing cooperation, including making available all elements and clarifications necessary for the complete establishment of the facts.

Pumangol extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim, expressing its full solidarity during this moment of profound grief.

The company maintains rigorous security and prevention protocols and procedures across its nationwide network. Nonetheless, and as an additional precaution, following this incident the company reinforced surveillance measures at the Gamek Service Station, in strict compliance with the legal framework and best security practices.
