"SAÚDE ATÉ SI" BRINGS MEDICAL CARE TO CABINDA

Over 2.000 people benefit from free healthcare and interactive science in the municipality of Cabinda.

On July 10th and 11th, Pumangol held the first 2025 edition of the Saúde Até Si (“Health to You”) project, in partnership with several institutions, delivering specialized medical care and scientific education to the Buco Ngoi community, in Cabinda.

As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Pumangol, together with Clube dos Médicos, the Luanda Science Center (CCL), TAAG, Secil Marítima, Centro Óptico, and with institutional support from the Provincial Government of Cabinda, promoted this recent edition at the Buco Ngoi Primary School.

Over two consecutive days, the community benefited from a wide range of free medical services under a “One Stop Shop” model, covering specialties such as general medicine, surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, dentistry, pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, and optometry. The program also included screening, vaccination, and pharmacy services.

Simultaneously, the “Ciência Sobre Rodas” (“Science on Wheels”) initiative brought a mobile exhibition to the site, featuring hands-on demonstrations in Geology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, aimed at sparking young people's interest in STEM careers.

With this initiative, Pumangol aims to directly impact:

  • Over 2,000 people;

  • Engage 500 students;

  • Increase vaccination rates by 30%;

  • Reduce preventable diseases by 25%.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing Pumangol’s active role in promoting social development in Angola.
